Paying over 393 billion VND in compensation for site clearance

By early August, compensation, support, and site clearance for key projects in Thanh Thinh and Thanh Mai communes and Bac Kan ward continued to be vigorously implemented, recording many positive results.

After receiving the site handover, Hong Ha Joint Stock Company has concentrated construction machinery at Km28.

There are about 1,620 households and some organizations subject to land clearance, with a total estimated compensation and support value of 671 billion VND. To date, the authorities have approved the compensation plan for all households, with a budget of 506 billion VND; of which, 1,453 households have been paid, with an amount of 393.84 billion VND.

The total reclaimed area is 261.8 hectares, of which 174.8 hectares have been handed over to Project Management Board 2 (an increase of 24.5 hectares compared to the report on July 25). On the total route length of 28.8 km, the units have handed over 23.14 km, an increase of 4.34 km compared to before.

Specifically: In Thanh Thinh commune, 773 households were approved with a total budget of 232.7 billion VND, of which 650 households (149.36 billion VND) have been paid; 123 households have not yet received the money (83.34 billion VND), mainly due to problems with overlapping land, compensation prices, resettlement arrangements, and legal documents.

In Thanh Mai commune, 413 households were approved with a budget of 101.8 billion VND, of which 391 households (89.5 billion VND) have been paid; 22 households have not received the money (12.3 billion VND) due to procedures, mortgage records, and land disputes.

In Bac Kan ward, 438 households were approved with a budget of 171.5 billion VND, of which 412 households (154.98 billion VND) have been paid; 26 households have not received the money (16.52 billion VND), mainly due to illegal construction and planting, or problems with legal documents, or absent residents...

Currently, localities are closely coordinating with the Regional Land Fund Development Center Branch 6 and Project Management Board 2 to propagate, mobilize, and remove difficulties, in order to speed up the payment and handover of land.
