Stepping out of the exam site gate, Mr. Suy (40 years old, Jrai ethnic group) breathed a sigh of relief after completing the exams. Mr. Suy was quite confident with the exams he passed, with enough points to pass.
Mr. Gui shared that he is currently working as a Party cell secretary and village chief of Ko village, Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district. If he passes this exam, he will add his high school diploma to his application.
“I have to get additional qualifications to meet the job requirements of a village chief. Not only that, I have to take the exam, passing the graduation exam will increase my prestige, and people will listen to me,” said Mr. Gui happily.
Previously, Mr. Gui studied in the 9+3 system, so to meet the needs of his job, a few years ago he registered to study at the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center of Chu Pah district. Classes take place every Saturday and Sunday. In the evening, Mr. Gui takes advantage of extra study time with his son, who is in grade 12. The father and son study until late at night before going to bed.
“My family only has a few acres of land, so we have to try hard to practice, study, and maintain our prestige to become the village chief. This helps the villagers avoid bad things and approach good things,” Mr. Gui confided.

After two terms as head of Ngo 4 village (Ia Ka commune, Chu Pah district), Mr. Ksor Wek (47 years old) is determined to get a high school diploma to add to his profile. He is one of the oldest candidates at this exam site. Previously, Mr. Wek studied in the 9+3 system so he did not have a high school diploma. In 2021, with the encouragement of the locality and relatives, Mr. Wek registered to study at the Chu Pah District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.
So every weekend, the man on his motorbike travels more than 15km from home to school. Sometimes he even brings his books to the fields to study. For Mr. Wek, this exam is very important, so in the days leading up to it, he often stays up late to study online. For difficult math problems, he calls his youngest daughter in grade 11 for help. In the exam, he can't do only math, but Wek is confident in his desired score for other subjects. The gentle village chief confided that he wants to have a graduation certificate to continue to be trusted by the people.

Taking the graduation exam for the first time, Mr. Ro Cham Gloan (40 years old, head of AL village, Ia Mo Nong commune, Chu Pah district) was confident when he completed all the subjects well.
“I took a remedial course three years ago and now I can take the exam. Because my house is more than 20 kilometers away from the school, it costs a lot of money for tuition, accommodation, and travel, so I am determined to pass. I will graduate to show off to my wife, otherwise she will yell at me,” Gloan shared.
Two months before the exam, he stayed up late many nights to study. The subjects he registered for included Literature, Math, Technology and Geography. Mr. Gloan loved and was most confident in Geography. He was optimistic, saying that if he did not pass this year, he would take the exam again next year to improve his knowledge and set an example for his children and grandchildren.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Gia Lai has 16,206 candidates eligible to take the exam (including more than 15,500 candidates studying in grade 12 and 704 independent candidates). This year's exam has many new points when for the first time, it is organized for students studying the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 General Education Program to take the exam together.
For this exam, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province mobilized 4,500 managers, teachers, staff and workers to participate in the organization of the exam. For the exam invigilators, the whole province mobilized 1,835 teachers, including 1,642 high school teachers and 193 middle school teachers.
