The report at the working session showed that: In the first 6 months of 2025, the Military Region 2's armed forces actively and comprehensively implemented military and defense tasks and successfully completed the set targets. Notably, agencies and units always strictly maintained discipline and combat readiness regime; coordinated forces to grasp the situation, especially the border and key areas; promptly handled situations right at the grassroots level, avoiding being passive and surprised.

The work of building discipline, managing discipline, building strong and comprehensive agencies and units that are "exemplary and typical" has achieved solid results. The Military Region has comprehensively deployed Party and political activities; logistics, technical and financial work has been comprehensively deployed, achieving positive results, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Party committees and commanders at all levels have thoroughly grasped the policies and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on the arrangement and organization of the political system and continued to arrange and organize local military agencies to be "lean, compact, and strong" to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Based on the guidance and direction of the competent agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee of the Military Region 2 Command organized conferences, issued many documents and telegrams to direct, guide, and unify the functions, tasks, and positions of the Regional Defense Command.

Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the preparation and implementation of the rearrangement of local military agencies of Military Region 2. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee and the Military Region Command to continue to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, maintain stability in all aspects of the situation in the area; direct agencies and units to build and supplement the system of combat documents at all levels; organize training and exercises at all levels according to plan, ensuring safety.

Along with that, do a good job of preparing and successfully organizing the congress of the Party Committee at the direct superior level and the Party Congress of Military Region 2; ensure good logistics and technical work, especially ensuring for newly established and merged units.

Continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement policies and resolutions of superiors on restructuring the political system's apparatus and continue to reorganize local military agencies to be "lean, compact, and strong" to meet requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command to focus on directing the units to merge, reorganize, and establish new ones, quickly stabilize all aspects after arrangement and adjustment; effectively carry out tasks from the beginning, without leaving gaps or interruptions in terms of tasks, work, and related content. Along with that, step up propaganda so that officers, soldiers of the Military Region and local people have a correct understanding of the policy of rearranging local military agencies when implementing the two-level local government model.

Previously, at the Phu Tho Provincial Military Command, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung and the working delegation inspected and grasped the implementation of military and defense tasks and the reorganization of local military agencies in Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh provinces; and worked with agencies of Military Region 2.
