Musician of love and homeland

Trinh Cong Son is not only a musician, he is a poet of music . Each of his songs is a confession about love, about life, about human destiny. In which, love for homeland and country is always a deep source, imbued in every musical note.

During the war years, amidst the smoke and fire of bombs, Trinh Cong Son wrote anti-war songs with poignant melodies and humane lyrics. Songs such as: Mother's Legacy, Night Cannon, Yellow-skinned Vietnamese Girl... were not only his own voice, but also the common feelings of many generations about peace and the desire to live in freedom. He used music to raise the voice of a sorrowful but resilient and indomitable nation.

After 1975, Trinh's music continued to resonate with "A realm to go back", "Let the wind take you away", "Do you still remember or have you forgotten"... expressing his philosophy of life and contemplation of human life. His music at that time was no longer haunted by war, but became songs of love for life, evoking compassion and tolerance.

Lyrics that live forever

Trinh Cong Son's songs are not only well received by the public but also become a source of inspiration for many generations of artists. From Khanh Ly, Hong Nhung, Cam Van, Quang Dung to young artists later, everyone wants to sing Trinh's music at least once, to live in his musical world . Because Trinh Cong Son's lyrics are not simply lyrics, but philosophies of life, deep thoughts about love and life.

"Living in life needs a heart

Even if it's just blown away by the wind…”

Those lyrics have become a guiding principle for many people. Trinh's music is not only to listen to, but also to ponder, to contemplate and to love.
