On July 29, Booking.com released a Global Report on AI (artificial intelligence) adoption based on a survey of more than 37,000 consumers in 33 markets, including Vietnam, to explore how people are using, their level of trust and their response to the use of AI in daily life as well as in the tourism sector.
The report shows a multi-dimensional picture of users' views on AI: 99% of Vietnamese users are excited about AI, 86% are familiar with this technology, and 99% want to apply AI in future travel plans.

While many people embrace the potential of AI, many individuals are still cautious in approaching this technology, showing that the implementation of AI needs to be done responsibly, balancing benefits and consumer trust. These new perspectives and viewpoints will contribute to shaping the future of AI in the tourism sector as well as many other sectors in Vietnam.

AI is rapidly becoming part of the travel experience, with 58% of Vietnamese travelers expecting automation of their trip planning process to become more common in the near future.
According to James Waters, Chief Business Officer at Booking.com, AI is one of the most important technological shifts shaping the way consumers interact with the world around them. As the technology matures, it meets the ever-changing needs of customers, raising expectations for every experience.

Recently, at the Workshop "AI and information security in the digital age" (organized by the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council in collaboration with the Asia Foundation and the Da Nang Women Entrepreneurs Association), Ms. Le Hong Thuy Tien, General Director of the Imex Pan Pacific Group, assessed that AI is not only a tool, but also an important strategic platform that will shape the way we think, operate and create value in the future.
“AI is only truly effective when combined with comprehensive security solutions. IPPG has proactively built a security system right from the design, with three core layers of protection: responsible data and AI governance, multi-layered security infrastructure, and developing an information security culture,” emphasized Ms. Le Hong Thuy Tien.
