The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6 and 7.
The general admission score is the total score of three subjects: Literature, Math, Foreign Language and priority points. Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate regulations, and not receive a failing score (0 points).
The admission score for specialized classes is the total score: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + specialized subject score x2.
According to regulations, only candidates who participate in the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated the regulations in the entrance exam and all exams have a score greater than 2.
This year, 76,435 candidates took the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, the total enrollment target for 10th grade at 115 public high schools is 70,070 students, achieving an admission rate of about 92%.
Thus, in the 2025-2026 school year, there will be only more than 6,000 candidates who fail to pass public school entrance exams, a decrease of about 20,000 candidates from previous years.
The 10th grade entrance exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City are expected to be announced on June 23, and the benchmark scores will be announced on June 26.
