Ha Tinh City maintains growth momentum, firmly entering a new journey

In the first 6 months of the year, Ha Tinh city maintained a stable growth rate, contributing to the overall development of the province.

In recent days, Ha Tinh City as well as other localities in the province have been in the pilot phase of operating the 2-level local government model. Although the work of arranging new administrative units is complicated, the central area has maintained a stable development pace, assuming the role of the province's economic "locomotive".

In the first 6 months of 2025, Ha Tinh city's economy continued to grow steadily, trade and service activities developed strongly, purchasing power of goods and services was large, and the market was rich. Total budget revenue in the first 6 months reached 820 billion VND, equal to 71% of the plan assigned by the province. Land use fee collection alone, a measure of the attractiveness of the real estate market, also reached nearly 580 billion VND. Notably, in May, Ha Tinh city successfully implemented many land use rights auctions with the amount collected significantly exceeding the starting price.

In the first 6 months of the year, the locality had 190 more businesses and 1,276 business households, showing the revival of the local startup market.

The eco -tourism model in Ha Tinh city attracts the largest number of visitors ever.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Trinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Young Entrepreneurs Association said: “Along with Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, the Ha Tinh City Party Committee issued an action plan that has really created a great driving force for the entrepreneurial spirit of entrepreneurs and producers, especially young people. Many business owners have proactively approached the State's support mechanisms and policies, boldly invested in expanding production, innovating technology, improving product quality to affirm their position in the market and keep up with the development trend”.

Not only in the economic and public investment fields, urban beautification work has also been strongly promoted. The city has disbursed nearly 300 billion VND in public investment capital. Key projects such as the Eastern Ring Road, the extended Xuan Dieu Road, priority infrastructure and urban development adapting to climate change are being accelerated. Urban beautification work is of interest to all levels of government; projects to upgrade infrastructure, sidewalks, asphalt, and expand intersections to reduce congestion are following the daily progress and are under construction.

Public investment projects in Ha Tinh city are being urged and accelerated, contributing to increasing the disbursement rate of public investment capital in the area.

The city is also focusing on handling encroachment on sidewalks on some roads; planting nearly 20,000 new trees; cleaning up the marine environment and some rural areas... All of these are creating a new, more spacious look to move into the development phase according to the 2-level local government model.

In the socio-economic picture of the first half of 2025 in Ha Tinh City, administrative reform is a bright spot. Despite facing a large amount of work after the merger and expansion of administrative boundaries (the area increased from 56.54 km2 to 220 km2 with 27 communes and wards), Ha Tinh City still maintains administrative discipline and management capacity. 100% of administrative procedures are resolved correctly and ahead of schedule, the city leads the administrative reform index of districts and towns in the whole province in 2024. Culture - society has many highlights, education continues to achieve achievements with high results in the provincial excellent student exam; completing the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with 184 newly built and repaired houses.

The movement of laying plastic carpets and upgrading infrastructure in wards and communes is still being actively implemented.

At this time, Ha Tinh City has ensured the procedures for implementing the tasks of arranging commune-level administrative units, smoothly piloting the 2-level local government model in the new Tran Phu ward and preparing to implement it in the remaining wards and communes; arranging and assigning cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to basically ensure principles and suitability; resolving backlogs... to be ready to operate the new commune-level government on July 1.

Regarding socio-economic indicators, the city government continues to focus on implementing solutions to promote growth in each industry and sector, striving for a product value growth rate of over 10%; speeding up the progress of key projects; promoting disbursement of public investment capital...

From there, it creates a continuous connection, without interruption of tasks when the two-level local government officially operates. This is also the step to create momentum for the new wards and communes to achieve achievements in the first year of implementing the new commune-level government and the development journey in the new period, contributing to the overall growth of the province.
