Spurs beat rivals MU to bring the Portuguese midfielder back to English football.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have given the green light for this deal.

Previously, MU repeatedly asked Palhinha but the former Fulham player always stated that he wanted to stay at Bayern.

Tottenham recently convinced the 30-year-old to return to London to play.

Tottenham's participation in the 2025/26 Champions League, as well as having an attractive project, were factors that led to Palhinha's agreement.

Spurs have agreed a loan deal for Palhinha with an option to buy for €30m – but not compulsory.

Instead, the President's team must pay the entire salary of Palhinha on behalf of Bayern Munich.

In his contract with the Bundesliga champions, Palhinha receives a salary of 10 million euros per year (equivalent to 166,600 pounds/week).

Palhinha will travel to London for a medical and to sign a permanent contract with Tottenham.

Thus, after beating MU in the Europa League final, Spurs once again surpassed the Red Devils in the transfer market.

The new Palhinha deal is also a strong statement from Tottenham about competing for high rankings in the Premier League.
