In the first 6 months of 2025, in the context of many socio -economic difficulties, natural disasters and epidemics, the Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Society has demonstrated its core, bridging and coordinating role in humanitarian activities, providing timely support to disadvantaged people, families in difficult circumstances, critically ill patients... with a proactive, flexible and creative spirit. In particular, the "Humanitarian Tet" and "Humanitarian Month" movements have been widely deployed, bringing practical results; voluntary blood donation continues to be maintained and spread in the community; humanitarian club models, rapid response teams, cow banks, zero-dong stalls... continue to be promoted and expanded. The SV07 volunteer team under the Provincial Red Cross Society has donated 12 Red Cross houses and 90 bicycles with a total value of nearly 700 million VND; Thien Tam Fund awarded scholarships to 218 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in the province with a total amount of over 1.3 billion VND; Giao Niem Hy Hop Club also supported 5 households with difficult circumstances, illnesses... The total value of activities of the association at all levels in the first 6 months of 2025 reached over 47 billion VND.
At the conference, delegates also discussed and contributed ideas on the following contents: assessing the practical activities of the association at all levels in the first 6 months of the year; difficulties and obstacles in implementing tasks; proposing models and solutions to improve the quality of association activities, especially during the Humanitarian Month and peak periods of implementing campaigns.
Promoting the achieved results, in the last 6 months of the year, the Red Cross Association at all levels will continue to focus on implementing a number of key tasks such as: reviewing and consolidating the organization of members, volunteers, and Red Cross youth at all levels; continuing to promote strengths in propaganda and mobilization of humanitarian events and voluntary blood donation; effectively implementing humanitarian programs and projects sponsored by the Central Association and domestic and international organizations in the last 6 months of 2025.
