On this occasion, President Aleksandr Lukashenko awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples of Belarus to General Secretary To Lam.
With firm confidence in the bright future of bilateral relations, the two sides adopted a Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam-Belarus Strategic Partnership, creating a foundation to bring bilateral relations to a new height, for the benefit of the two peoples.
During the meetings, the two sides agreed to increase contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels, including high-level and highest-level, through Party and State channels, within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, improve the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, and study and establish new forms of cooperation between ministries, branches and localities of the two countries.
The two sides are willing to promote delegation exchanges at all levels, enhance experience sharing and boost cooperation in the fields of defense and security, including cooperation in defense industry, military and expert training, etc.
The two sides agreed to promote the implementation of agreements within the framework of the Science and Technology Cooperation Committee; enhance cooperation in research, development of high technology, digital technology, innovation; enhance cooperation in the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes and cooperation in nuclear radiation safety. The two sides will enhance the exchange of policies and orientations in the development of digital infrastructure and digitalization of industrial complexes to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of digital transformation...

Also during the visit, General Secretary To Lam met with the Belarusian Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries, the Belarusian-Vietnamese Friendship Association and former Belarusian experts who had helped Vietnam.
The General Secretary expressed his joy and emotion to meet with Belarusian comrades and friends - whose hearts have always been attached to Vietnam, including experts who have devoted much effort, hard work and enthusiasm to support Vietnam during difficult years. Vietnam has always attached importance to the traditional friendship with Belarus; wishes to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all fields, for the common interests of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation laid flowers at the Victory Monument in the capital Minsk, Belarus. The Victory Monument, with four sides carved with images of Victory Day (May 9, 1945), honors the fallen heroes and the Soviet army during the Great Patriotic War. This is where Belarusians as well as tourists from all over the world come to visit and pay their respects to those who sacrificed their lives during the Great Patriotic War.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus, and representatives of the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Belarus. The General Secretary requested that the Embassy be a warm common home for the Vietnamese people, continue to care for and do better work for overseas Vietnamese in the spirit of the Party's directives and resolutions, considering this an important task to achieve the country's development goals.
Inheriting the traditional friendship and good multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus have been continuously strengthened and developed over the years.
General Secretary To Lam's state visit to Belarus this time is of great significance, not only consolidating and enhancing political trust between Vietnam and traditional friendly countries, but also conveying Vietnam's message and determination to continuously strengthen friendly and traditional relations with countries of the former Soviet Union, including Belarus.
