Referee training before Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament
The training session was attended by Mr. Le Ngoc Anh, Director of Vietnam Pickleball Sports Forum Joint Stock Company (PICKFAIR), Mr. Bui Anh Tuan - Sport Connect Technical Board and representatives of Dan Tri newspaper.
The pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" co-organized by Dan Tri newspaper and Vietnam Pickleball Sports Forum Joint Stock Company (PICKFAIR) will take place at Dai Kim Pickleball Complex (Hoang Mai, Hanoi ) on July 5 and 6.

Each athlete who registers to participate in the "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" pickleball tournament is contributing to the project of building charitable houses, spreading the spirit of charity, humanity, and humanism.
In the two categories Dan Tri Lead and Dan Tri Friends, many famous artists, actors and reporters from newspapers and radio stations across the country will compete.

At the training session, Mr. Dinh Cong Minh, Head of the Referee Team of the “Dan Tri 20 Years - Bright New Day” pickleball tournament, disseminated and updated the international pickleball competition rules, how to handle situations, as well as communication methods, and maintaining a steady mentality during tense ball phases for the referees participating in the tournament.

This is a large-scale tournament with 8 competitions and more than 500 athletes participating, including 6 events for amateur athletes and 2 events for professional athletes.
Therefore, during the training session, the referees were not only instructed in theory but also organized many simulated match situations on the field to help everyone get used to the match pace, from basic technical errors to controversial situations that require referee intervention. The referees were divided into groups, taking turns taking on the roles of main referee, linesman and operating the scoreboard through the Sport Connect application.
Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, Sport Connect Technical Board also introduced to the referees the superior features of Sport Connect that help referees reduce movement on the field, and match scores are updated online.
The pickleball tournament “Dan Tri 20 years - New bright days” is attracting great attention from the pickleball community. The tournament is attractive with a total prize value of up to 500 million VND, in which the Open men's doubles event has the highest prize value with 50 million VND in cash for the first prize (with cup and medal), the second prize is worth 20 million VND in cash (with cup and medal), the third prize is worth 10 million VND in cash (with cup and medal).

Notably, the tournament aims at a meaningful goal when all the athletes' participation fees will be used to build 5 charity houses, contributing with Dan Tri newspaper to achieve the goal of eliminating 200 temporary, dilapidated houses for people in difficult circumstances nationwide in 2025.
This is also a practical action, continuing the humane tradition of Dan Tri newspaper over the past two decades.
