Organize tree pruning campaign, clear traffic safety corridor

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 5, which is rapidly approaching the mainland, on the evening of August 24, Nong Cong commune organized a campaign to trim trees and clear traffic safety corridors throughout the area to proactively respond and limit damage caused by the storm.

The campaign was launched with the participation of the commune police force, security and order teams, and commune officials and civil servants. The functional forces inspected and trimmed a series of trees at risk of falling on main roads such as inter-commune roads, roads leading to administrative centers, and schools.

Along with tree trimming, the commune government focused on clearing encroachments on traffic safety corridors, removing temporary billboards, canopies, and awnings that cause traffic safety hazards, and at the same time, encouraging people to proactively reinforce their houses, brace plants, and prepare necessary supplies.

According to forecasts, storm No. 5 will directly affect the North Central region in the next 24-48 hours, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. Nong Cong commune is continuing to closely monitor the weather situation and proactively prepare plans to evacuate people in vulnerable areas if necessary.
