Organize 2 sessions/day of teaching and summer activities for children and students

Implementing Directive 17/CT-TTg dated June 6, 2025 of the Prime Minister on organizing 2 sessions/day of teaching and organizing summer activities for children and students, the Provincial People's Committee has just requested relevant departments, branches, units and localities to focus on coordinating to implement a number of key tasks.

Regarding the organization of 2-session teaching/day, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to promptly guide localities to develop plans to organize 2-session teaching/day at general education institutions in the province from the 2025-2026 school year in accordance with local conditions according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training in the spirit of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results, to effectively implement the general education program.

At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs and localities to review, arrange and regulate teachers amongeducational institutions in the area to overcome the situation of local surplus and shortage of teachers, ensuring sufficient conditions for teaching 2 sessions/day according to current norms and regulations. Effectively implement and integrate programs, projects and plans to increase investment in facilities and teaching equipment for educational institutions, especially in remote areas, areas with difficult socio-economic conditions, ensuring fairness in access to education.

The Department of Home Affairs inspects, urges and guides localities to recruit teachers according to the assigned number of positions, not allowing the situation of having positions but not recruiting; arranging and regulating teachers between educational institutions in the area to overcome the situation of local surplus or shortage of teachers, ensuring the principle of "having students must have teachers in the classroom" but must be suitable to local reality, not wasting teacher resources, meeting the requirements of teaching 2 sessions/day.

Regarding the organization of summer activities for preschool children and high school students, the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments, agencies, units and localities according to their functions, tasks and authority to focus on implementing well the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing the high school graduation exam, ensuring the staffing of preschool and high school teachers and summer vacation for children and students in 2025; in which, attention should be paid to creating conditions for children and students to have fun, participate in cultural and artistic activities, physical training, and life skills during the summer in accordance with the conditions of each locality, to prevent accidents, injuries and drowning.
