News, pepper price forecast tomorrow June 22, 2025
Domestic market on June 22, 2025
After three consecutive days of decline with a total decrease of up to 10,000 VND/kg, the domestic pepper market shows signs of reaching the short-term support zone around 123,000 VND/kg. Experts commented:
Positive scenario (60%): Pepper price tomorrow will remain stable or increase slightly by 100 - 300 VND/kg in some areas with early purchase demand.
Negative scenario (40%): If selling pressure remains high, prices may fall by another VND200-400/kg, but a deep fall like previous sessions is unlikely.
Pepper prices tomorrow will depend largely on the purchase of goods by export enterprises in the first session of next week (June 24), as well as the consumption situation from major markets such as China, India, and the US.
International market on June 22, 2025
In the international market, pepper prices also showed signs of slowing down after three sessions of deep decline. The main factors affecting pepper price movements include:
Pressure from early season inventory: After the harvest season, pepper reserves in many countries are still quite large. Farmers selling out en masse while businesses do not have large orders causes an imbalance between supply and demand.
Lack of momentum in the international market: The fact that countries like Indonesia and Malaysia maintain high prices without increasing exports shows that the global consumption market has not yet exploded. Although Vietnam has kept prices stable, without a boost from import demand, domestic prices will have difficulty rebounding.
Macroeconomic fluctuations: Pepper prices are also affected by exchange rates and monetary policies in the US and China – the two markets that control the world’s largest purchasing power. If the USD continues to strengthen, pepper prices in VND may be pulled down.
In general, pepper price movements tomorrow, June 22, 2025, are forecast to slow down after a series of three deep declines, with the opportunity for slight increases in some areas. However, pressure from inventories and weak global purchasing power are still risks that need to be monitored in the coming time.
