Accordingly, this bridge will connect Vinh Cuu district (Dong Nai) with Dong Phu district (Binh Phuoc). Ma Da bridge was destroyed during the war, causing travel through this area to be interrupted for decades.

The reconstruction of the bridge is considered an optimal solution to shorten the travel distance between Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai, while creating momentum for socio -economic development.

Previously, on March 7, the Ministry of Construction sent a document to the People's Committees of the two provinces, requesting coordination in studying investment plans. The Ministry emphasized the expansion of Binh Phuoc's Provincial Road 753, connecting with Dong Nai's Provincial Road 761 via Ma Da Bridge and reporting to the Ministry for synthesis and handling.

On February 11, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province submitted a report proposing a connecting route of about 76km, starting from Dong Xoai city, following provincial road 753, crossing Ma Da bridge to Dong Nai, then continuing through local roads to Ring Road 4 (HCMC), the section passing through Bien Hoa city. The total estimated investment is more than 5,000 billion VND.

The construction of Ma Da Bridge not only helps to quickly connect with Dong Nai but also facilitates travel from the Central Highlands to major traffic hubs such as Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.
