Son Ha Hue Company Limited's grassroots union gives gifts to union members and workers

After restructuring the organization, the Hue City Labor Federation now directly manages 503 grassroots unions with nearly 54,000 union members. The organizational model has been streamlined in the direction of no longer having district, local industry or economic zone union levels; all professional activities are coordinated through a single focal point, the Union Work Committee. Grassroots unions are enhanced in their proactiveness and flexibility in implementing tasks, especially in enterprises and public service units.

In the first 7 months of the year, the Trade Unions have effectively coordinated with the professional organizations to provide practical care for union members, typically: Supporting more than 2,300 union members in difficulty, organizing more than 150 "Union Meals", launching emulation during Workers' Month, and signing many new collective labor agreements that are more beneficial to workers.

Discussing at the conference, delegates proposed many solutions to overcome difficulties in funding, part-time personnel and the need for training in trade union skills.

In the coming time, the City Labor Federation determines to continue improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities, especially in dialogue, negotiation, and taking care of the vital interests of union members; promoting the application of technology in management, innovating methods of gathering and attracting workers to participate in trade union organizations.
