Heartbreaking cries from the scene of the horrific flash flood in Lao Cai

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of September 11, more bodies were found after the terrible flash flood in Lang Nu village. Crying echoed throughout the village's Cultural House when people recognized the bodies of their loved ones being brought home.

A body was brought by local people and authorities from the flash flood scene to the Cultural House of Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province). From early morning, police, soldiers and people of Lang Nu village were present at the scene to search for the missing victims. Authorities search for the body of a missing victim in part of a house that was left behind by flash floods. Relatives of the missing victims were present at the scene to search for their loved ones. The layer of soil and rock is very thick so the search is very difficult. A truck was badly damaged by flash floods. A resident's motorbike was buried by a flash flood. The flash flood that occurred in Bao Yen district, Lao Cai buried the entire Lang Nu village with 37 households and 158 residents. People at the scene searched for missing relatives in vain. The women of Lang Nu village are waiting for news of their relatives. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam cried when her husband's relatives had 13 people missing due to the terrible flash flood. Ms. Tam said: "I am in great pain when 13 relatives (9 adults and 4 children) are missing due to the flash flood. Currently, the bodies of 5 people (including 2 children) have been found. I pray that the authorities will soon find all the bodies." A few houses remained after the terrible flash flood in Lang Nu village. It was raining at the scene, making the search difficult.
