At the meeting, Director of the Institute of Education and International Economics Nguyen Thi Hong Loan introduced the OMO (Online Merge Offline) online teaching model. OMO is a teaching model that combines online and offline learning methods with the support of technology to optimize the learning experience and improve the effectiveness of foreign language training. The program aims to supplement English listening and speaking skills for university students in the general knowledge block.

The program is considered a stepping stone in the gradual roadmap to make English a second language in schools. The program applies AI and digital technology to improve teaching efficiency, personalize experiences and promote educational modernization.
Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy gradually making English the second language in the school is the key to helping students and trainees access knowledge and digital technology as well as aiming for graduates to be able to work in an international environment; opening up many career development opportunities for students in the future.
