According to the report, the main contents of the task will include: preparing facilities and equipment for receiving and transferring seed production technology; training and transferring technical processes to staff of the host unit; organizing trial production of abalone seeds reaching a size of 5mm; releasing abalone resources using artificial seeds in Bach Long Vy Marine Reserve; evaluating project effectiveness.
The Council members discussed and contributed many important ideas. The research team was asked to edit and supplement some contents such as: adjusting the task name to suit the reality; clarifying the food source and the criteria for evaluating the results; updating the new technical process; adding research on the development and breeding capacity after the completion of the task; clarifying the scientific basis for the restoration and protection of abalone resources; adjusting the scale, time and density of artificial seed release; completing the overview and application after the task; and preparing the application for a certificate of eligibility for seed production.
Concluding the Conference, the Advisory Council unanimously approved the topic, and requested the host unit to fully absorb the comments, edit and complete the documents and implementation plan. The topic is expected to contribute to the restoration of the rare nine-hole abalone resource, creating an important premise for the conservation, restoration and development of the precious abalone resource in the Bach Long Vy sea area./.
