When choosing a study path in the Information Technology industry, students need to carefully consider between two orientations: academic and practical, because each direction will lead to a completely different career development path.
For those who are academically oriented – usually have good analytical thinking, like to do in-depth research, persevere with abstract concepts and have the goal of pursuing fields such as data science , AI, embedded systems – university is the right path. This path usually lasts from 4 to 5 years, focusing on fundamental knowledge and in-depth theory. After graduation, many students continue to graduate school, participate in research projects or work at large institutes and technology centers. This is a journey that requires long-term investment and a clear academic orientation.
Meanwhile, for students who tend to practice, love new technology, like to try - fail - fix on real products, and want to work early, choosing to study in the direction of practical training brings a more flexible and realistic career path. At training systems such as Aptech, students can start working on real projects after only the first semester, with specific products that can be presented to employers or used as internship applications. From the second year, many students have started participating in freelance projects, working as technology collaborators or officially working at businesses, accumulating experience and income right during the learning process.
