Differences in organizing high school graduation exams for candidates taking the 2006 Program and the 2018 Program
Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, noted the differences in organizing high school graduation exams for candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program and the 2018 General Education Program.
First, about the number of multiple choice test papers that need to be packed in each bag: For exam rooms for candidates taking the 2006 GeneralEducation Program, print enough 24 test codes (usually 4-5 sheets of A4 paper).
For exam rooms for candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program: Only print enough for the number of candidates in the exam room.
For example, if a room has 10 candidates taking the Physics exam, print from code 01 to code 10; it can be printed on 1 A3 sheet (printed 2 sides).
Second, in the examination supervision. Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program who only take the second subject in the optional/combined test must be present 10 minutes before the exam time; candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program must be present from the beginning of the exam and wait in the waiting room.
Time between 2 subjects in the optional/combined exam: For candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 Program, it is 10 minutes; for candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, it is 15 minutes.
Handling of excess exam papers: In the exam room for candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program, the secretary collects and stores them in the Council room.
In the examination room for candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program, the invigilator is responsible for security in the examination room.
Regarding the collection of elective exams/combined exams of natural sciences /social sciences: In the examination room for candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program, each subject has 1 bag of exam papers.
In the examination room for candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program, each exam session has 1 exam bag. The optional exam session has 2 exam bags.
For Geography: Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program are allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room. Candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program are not allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. On June 25, candidates will go to the exam location on the notification to complete the exam registration procedures.
This year's exam has 2 exam questions for candidates to take according to the 2006 General Education Program and the 2018 General Education Program.
This year, there are about 25,000 candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. Localities organize separate exam sites for candidates taking the exam under this program.
Strengthening coordination to organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam safely and seriously
On May 27, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 113-CV/DU to the Standing Committees of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government on organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training would like to sincerely thank the Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, and Steering Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities for actively and proactively directing the preparation for the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (Exam) in accordance with the requirements of Directive 37/CT-TTg, dated October 7, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the direction, coordination, and organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and university and vocational education admissions.
The 2025 exam will take place from June 25 to June 27, 2025 in all provinces and centrally run cities with a larger number of candidates than previous years.
At the same time, the Exam is held in the context that the whole country is arranging and organizing the 2-level local government apparatus and changing the arrangement of the inspection agency system; the 2025 Exam is organized for both students studying under the 2018 General Education Program and students studying under the 2006 General Education Program; the use of high-tech devices to cheat in exams is increasingly sophisticated and complicated.
In order for the Exam to take place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training respectfully requests the Standing Committees of the provincial and municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government to focus on leading and directing the People's Committees at all levels, departments, branches, sectors, unions and related organizations and individuals of the localities to urgently carry out a number of specific tasks.
That is, direct the Provincial People's Committee, Party committees, authorities and relevant organizations and agencies to closely and effectively coordinate with the local Education sector to carefully prepare necessary conditions, have contingency plans for all unusual situations, and not let any stage of the Exam go without close management and supervision and without someone taking responsibility.
Direct the Exam Steering Committee, relevant departments, agencies and sectors participating in organizing the Exam to develop a plan at the local level, have a specific plan and promote responsibility and close supervision; have a specific assignment of tasks with clear people, clear work, clear authority, clear responsibility, clear time, clear results; ensure that all stages throughout the process of organizing the Exam must have responsible organizations and individuals associated with the national roadmap to implement the Party and State's policy on arranging 2-level local government. Create the most favorable conditions for candidates, families and educational institutions.
At the same time, direct the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Provincial Inspectorate to urgently develop an inspection and examination plan at all stages of the Exam, especially the stage of assigning responsibilities to organizations and individuals participating in organizing the Exam; note to ensure that it does not affect the activities of relevant agencies and units in organizing the Exam.
Directing professional units of the provincial and communal police to develop plans and arrange forces to ensure absolute security and safety for the Exam; promptly detecting and preventing illegal equipment and items from entering the exam room, especially high-tech equipment used for cheating purposes; promptly handling all negative acts or spreading false or inaccurate information that causes public confusion, contributing to ensuring discipline and fairness in the Exam.
Along with that, direct local press and radio agencies to coordinate with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to strengthen communication work to disseminate examination regulations and relevant legal provisions to promptly prevent and absolutely not allow negativity and cheating in exams.
