2 more speedboats to serve tourists on the Rach Gia - Phu Quoc route

Accordingly, Lightning 68 is a specialized twin-hull passenger ship made of aluminum alloy, approximately 31m long, over 7m wide, with a load capacity of over 26 tons, a passenger compartment for 250 passengers, modern interior, high-class seating system and a maximum speed of 33 nautical miles/hour.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Bien Son Company, said that the Lightning 68 project aims to build 6 new high-speed boats, transporting and picking up passengers with a capacity of 250 - 300 passengers and goods on the routes Rach Gia - Phu Quoc, Rach Gia - Hon Son - Nam Du, Ha Tien - Phu Quoc and vice versa.

Currently, the project has completed phase 1 of 2 ships that have been accepted, inspected and certified by the inspection agency to be put into operation in early August 2024. In phase 2, the company will complete 4 more ships to put into operation in Kien Giang waters.

Up to now, Kien Giang province has about 30 high-speed trains of transport enterprises operating on the routes Rach Gia - Phu Quoc, Rach Gia - Hon Son - Nam Du and vice versa; Ha Tien - Phu Quoc and vice versa to serve the travel needs of people and tourists.
