Vietnamese bodybuilding wins two world team runner-up positions

(NLDO) - The 8th gold medal won by Nguyen Thi Kim Dung in the women's classical bodybuilding category, 1.65 m tall, helped the Vietnamese team finish second in the women's team, in addition to the overall men's team runner-up title.

On the third day of competition of the 2023 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, two athletes Nguyen Thi Kim Dung and Tran Thi Cam Tu won both first and second place in the women's classic bodybuilding category up to 1.65 m tall, bringing home the 8th gold medal and the 6th silver medal for the Vietnamese team.

Male athletes such as Pham Van Mach, Ho Huy Binh, Tran Bao Quoc Vuong... also competed in the all-around event, but the highest victory belonged to Indian athlete Mani Sarvanan with the title of Mr.Universe 2023.

With 8 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, the Vietnamese team also won two more runner-up positions for the men's and women's teams, concluding the most successful tour of Vietnamese bodybuilding in the history of the world championship.
