Dramatically defeating Thailand, CAHN meets Cambodia in the Final of the ASEAN Police Tournament 2025

The CAND 2 team had a narrow 2-1 victory over Thailand in the semi-final match held on the evening of July 13 at Hang Day, thereby winning the right to enter the final of the 2025 ASEAN Police and Police Football Tournament.

Duc Nam was the first to score for CAND 2 in the 13th minute with an accurate header after a cross from Mai Tien Thanh. With the strongest squad on the field, the Vietnamese representative created an attractive attacking game with their opponent.

After the goal, Thailand pushed up their attacking formation to put pressure in search of an equalizer. The away team succeeded in equalizing the score in the 34th minute, also from an aerial situation.

Entering the second half, the match continued to be open with many situations of "tit for tat" between the two sides. The 2-1 victory was decided for CAND 2 in the 50th minute and the scorer was Nhu Tuan with a rebound kick from a narrow angle.

In the semi-final 1 that took place earlier, Cambodia and Timor Leste also created a spectacular chase, ending in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes of official play. The two teams had to take each other to the penalty shootout to decide the winner, and in this match, Cambodia won 11-10.

With the above results, CAND 2 will meet Cambodia in the final match of the 2025 ASEAN Police Open tournament taking place at 8:00 p.m. on July 15 at Hang Day Stadium.
