At around 12:20 noon on August 25, in Tay Ninh (old) area, there was heavy rain over a large area, accompanied by a tornado, causing damage to people's property and crops, but no human casualties.

Thunderstorms and tornadoes damaged many houses in Thanh Thuan neighborhood, Thanh Dien ward.

According to the reporter, in Thanh Thuan neighborhood (Thanh Dien ward), on National Highway 22B, the tornado blew off the roofs of many houses, some houses partially collapsed, a series of corrugated iron sheets were blown into the fields, and some crops and perennial trees were broken.

The storm caused many trees to fall and damaged houses.

The storm also damaged a large area of ​​crops and rice. Some internal roads were also affected by fallen trees, affecting people's travel, and some areas had complete power outages.

The melon screen house was completely collapsed during harvest.

Among them, the melon net house farm of Phan Van Chuong (born in 1963), with an area of ​​1000 ^m2 , was completely destroyed by the tornado, causing an estimated loss of nearly 500 million VND.

Officers and soldiers support and help affected households

According to Thanh Dien Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Thi Kim Quyen, immediately after the incident, the Ward Party Committee mobilized nearly 20 officers, soldiers and local people to help families affected by agricultural production, housing, and clear fallen trees that obstructed traffic. At the same time, detailed statistics of damaged households were compiled to promptly overcome the consequences and support people affected by natural disasters.

Electricity and telecommunications staff quickly arrived at the scene to help people fix the problem.
