According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thanh, after reviewing and re-evaluating, the Department found that the location of the beer advertising billboard at this location is inappropriate, affecting the architecture and aesthetics of the project.
"With the spirit of learning and listening, on August 24, we removed the beer advertising layout, now the advertising billboard only has a white background" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thanh said.
He also informed that in the immediate future, the Department will consider and utilize this billboard frame to serve the propaganda of the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
After the holiday, the entire billboard frame will be dismantled to restore the building to its original state. At the same time, for advertising units, the Department will guide the selection of locations to hang beer advertising billboards in other suitable locations, without affecting the architectural space and urban landscape.
Previously, on August 23, Tay Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television published an article reflecting “Beer advertising billboards are prominently displayed on the front of the Provincial Post Office building”. The article received much attention and shares from readers.
The content reflects that since the beginning of August 2025, a beer advertising billboard with the image of two large beer bottles and the slogan "Refreshingly open, awakening courage" has been hung right on the upper middle side of the provincial post office.
Many opinions said that the billboard obscured most of the building's architecture, which has been a highlight of the urban landscape for many years; moreover, the content of the beer advertisement on the building was inappropriate, even easily causing offense and misunderstanding.
Notably, this billboard was installed with the approval of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province. According to the approval document dated July 27, 2025 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the beer billboard has an area of 40m², with a hanging period from August 1, 2025 to August 1, 2026. The licensed entity is a company headquartered in Hanoi.
