According to the Steering Committee's report, since the second meeting on April 26, 2025, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister have held meetings to direct and assign 48 tasks to ministries, branches and localities, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, and speeding up procedures for preparing investment projects. The agencies have completed 23 tasks to meet requirements, including a number of important tasks.

In addition, the agencies are actively and focused on implementing 17 tasks of regular direction and management, 7 tasks have not met the progress and 1 task has not yet reached the deadline. The relevant ministries, branches, agencies and localities are focusing on implementing the assigned tasks to implement the projects including: Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project; Hanoi - Lang Son and Hai Phong - Mong Cai railways; high-speed railway project on the North - South axis; Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City urban railway projects.

The high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Quang Tri province has a total length of 190.68 km, passing through 35 communes and wards with an occupied area of ​​1,564.31 hectares.

Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on implementing assigned tasks so that the project can be implemented on schedule. At the same time, it is requested that the Ministry of Construction consider reporting to the Government to adjust the timeline for handing over site clearance piles in the Master Plan for implementation in Appendix II of Resolution No. 106/NQ-CP of the Government before December 2025 and complete it in the first quarter of 2026 so that localities have a basis for implementation to ensure the progress set by the Prime Minister.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the implementation of tasks, processes, regulations and procedures for implementing key projects and important national railway projects, and at the same time, recommending and proposing a number of solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: The Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Conclusion No. 49 of the Politburo have clearly defined the strategic orientation and vision for the development of railway infrastructure, aiming to create synchronous connectivity on the North-South economic corridor, the East-West transport corridors, and promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. Therefore, in the coming time, the tasks of the Steering Committee are extremely heavy, important and urgent.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: The members of the Steering Committee must ensure 6 clear things when assigning tasks: "clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear product, clear authority"; "look far and wide, think deeply and do big things".

Local Party committees and authorities focus on implementing site clearance and technical infrastructure relocation, paying special attention to resettlement and supporting production stabilization so that people have new places to live, new jobs, and new livelihoods that are at least equal to or better than their old places.

Ministries, sectors and localities need to focus maximum resources, remove all bottlenecks and bottlenecks, overcome difficulties and challenges to complete assigned tasks in implementing key works and important national projects in the railway sector.
