General Director of Quang Tri Trading Corporation Le Quang Nhat emphasized: Our enterprise is considered as a "support" for the agricultural sector when performing the tasks of creating raw material areas and output in processing and consuming agricultural products for farmers.

Currently, the company has 6 factories processing and consuming agricultural products with hundreds of workers directly involved in production. Therefore, creating a safe and healthy working environment, protecting the health of officers, employees and workers is always a special concern of the company's leaders. From there, creating peace of mind for employees, dedicated workers, making efforts to contribute to the development of the company.

Quang Tri Trading Corporation currently has 571 employees, of which 337 are directly employed and produce at 6 factories including Huong Hoa Cassava Starch Factory, Cam Lo Rubber Latex Processing Factory, Cam Lo Energy Pellet Factory, Dong Ha Agricultural Products Processing Factory, Sepon Rice Drying Factory, Sepon Organic Fertilizer Factory.

These are factories that operate many modern production lines and machines that need to strictly comply with occupational safety and health (OSH) and fire prevention and fighting (FPF). Therefore, the company has established an OSH Board to effectively perform OSH and FPF tasks.

Mr. Dang Sy Anh Quoc, an employee in charge of occupational safety and health at Quang Tri Trading Corporation, said: The Occupational Safety Department, headed by the General Director, is responsible for coordinating with departments, divisions, and units to develop plans and effectively implement occupational safety and health work, including developing initiatives such as 5S, fire prevention, and natural disaster prevention as required, promptly responding to the company's production and business activities and ensuring a safe working environment, minimizing occupational accidents and diseases for employees.

Thanks to active activities, the working environment in the whole company and at the factories always ensures occupational safety and health, fire prevention and fighting, and for many years there have been no occupational accidents. Currently, the company has 2 permanent lecturers to ensure occupational safety and health training for newly recruited employees and workers, and annually organizes occupational safety and health training for all employees and workers in the whole company.

In the production conditions at the factories, with 36 machines and equipment that have strict requirements on occupational safety and health, cleaning and maintenance of machines and equipment are carried out regularly and periodically according to regulations. In particular, contracts are signed with competent units to conduct periodic inspections and complete management and monitoring records for the equipment. The annual cost for this activity is up to hundreds of millions of VND.

In addition, regularly conduct occupational safety and health risk assessments to detect dangerous and hazardous factors in order to take measures to minimize occupational accidents and diseases such as installing equipment for occupational safety and health, occupational safety and health signs, fire prevention and fighting, propaganda bulletin boards, machine and equipment nameplates, ventilation measures to improve the working environment... at units throughout the company.

In particular, carry out activities to measure and inspect the working environment, improve working conditions, specifically sign contracts with qualified units to collect and treat hazardous waste, measure and inspect working environment factors, collect household waste... 5S work includes general cleaning of the campus and production workshops that units perform well.

For the subject being the laborer, implement labor protection regimes, take good care of the health of the laborer such as periodic health check-ups; provide material support for laborer; provide labor protection, personal protective equipment; provide medicine bags, first aid tools at each workshop unit; implement labor contracts, labor agreements, pay and fully resolve social insurance regimes (sickness, maternity, recuperation, work accident...) for laborer.

Fire prevention and rescue work is coordinated by the Company's Labor Safety Department with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to guide, check records and procedures, fire prevention and rescue training, periodic supplementary training... fully comply with current regulations at the units. Ensure that no fire or explosion occurs.

At the same time, the grounding resistance of the lightning protection system for units was measured and checked at 21 measuring points. Disaster prevention activities were well implemented by units in reinforcing and bracing office buildings, warehouses, factories and assigning staff on duty to seriously handle the situation in a timely manner to avoid causing major damage to people and property during and after the annual storm season.

In 2024 alone, the entire company had 88 technical innovation initiatives to improve production and business efficiency. From the contributions of employees and workers, the company has continuously grown year by year, month by month, continuing to expand production and business in scale and fields, contributing to effectively implementing the task of developing the local socio-economy.
