Increase competitiveness, promote consumption of Vietnamese goods

Agencies, units, retailers, and traditional markets in the city have implemented many solutions to create a clear change in the habit of using Vietnamese goods, increase the localization rate, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods. Thereby, ensuring that the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" is implemented effectively and substantially.

Affirming Vietnamese goods market share

At Co.opmart Da Nang supermarket, Vietnamese goods account for more than 90% of the total product structure. Mr. Phan Thong, Director of Co.opmart Da Nang supermarket said: “We always identify bringing high-quality Vietnamese goods to consumers as an important and continuous task. The supermarket promotes connections with domestic manufacturers, especially small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, and local farmers. The good news is that Da Nang consumers increasingly tend to prioritize choosing domestic products.

Items such as fresh food, technology, essential consumer goods, household appliances, fashion , etc. are all trusted and chosen by customers thanks to their quality, competitive prices and suitability to tastes." Meanwhile, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Director of GO! Da Nang Supermarket said: "The supermarket has up to 95% Vietnamese goods and customers give priority to using Vietnamese goods.

Vietnamese goods and OCOP products are currently not only completely conquering domestic customers but also having a strong presence in the international market. From the perspective of retailers, we recommend that Vietnamese businesses continue to make efforts and further improve product quality to meet the increasing demands of consumers.

As a place that attracts a large number of tourists when coming to the city, Han market (Hai Chau district) deploys a variety of propaganda methods to encourage traders to further promote the import and sale of Vietnamese goods.

Along with the construction of “civilized commercial stalls and markets”, Vietnamese goods have taken over the market share. In particular, the majority of tourists shopping at the market prefer products such as: dried mango, dried jackfruit, handmade linen clothes, etc.

The Han Market Management Board invested in building and putting into operation a "Vietnamese goods stall" at the front of Bach Dang Street to prioritize businesses and households that are doing business in taking turns promoting their brands and introducing Vietnamese branded goods, especially local products.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, Head of the Han Market Management Board, informed: "The volume of Vietnamese branded goods being traded at the market has increased in proportion. Previously, the volume of Vietnamese goods was only 50%, but now it has increased to 90%.

The market continues to develop brands that make up its distinctive name. When talking about Han market, it is a symbol of quality, deliciousness, and reasonable prices such as "Mam aunt Can", "Thuy" fish cakes, "Dai" dresses, linen products, etc. At the same time, it invests in and upgrades the market's technical infrastructure, in the form of "The State and the people work together"; implements self-inspection and coordinates with functional agencies to do a good job of comprehensively inspecting and controlling business activities to ensure the rights of consumers.

Support multiple solutions synchronization

In Lien Chieu district, activities to support businesses, promote consumption of Vietnamese goods and build local brands are flexibly integrated by the locality. In the context of digital transformation and market integration today, the district organizes many training courses on consumer rights protection; digital transformation and e-commerce training to support small traders and businesses in accessing new technology and markets.

Focusing on content on online business knowledge, using social networks, e-commerce platforms; writing content using artificial intelligence (AI); building online sales channels. In addition, the district organizes many programs to display, introduce and promote Nam O fish sauce products, OCOP products, and typical products in the area.

The city's Department of Industry and Trade said that in order to continue effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the department focuses on promoting information, propaganda, and introducing and promoting Da Nang products to consumers in the city and other provinces and cities across the country.

At the same time, continue to effectively implement policies to support businesses to improve the capacity of Vietnamese goods and businesses; focusing on supporting businesses in trade promotion, technological innovation, creative innovation, support for production machinery and equipment, improving product quality, packaging design, branding, product traceability, etc.

The Department supports connections and creates conditions for Vietnamese manufacturing enterprises to participate in promotions at activities, festival events, and domestic and international promotion programs; at the same time, expand sales channels, promote online sales with multi-channel marketing solutions, participate in booths on e-commerce platforms, expand product consumption markets, etc.

According to the Steering Committee of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the city, in the coming time, the Steering Committee will continue to review, adjust and develop policies and programs to support businesses in accordance with legal regulations to improve competitiveness, develop products and expand consumer markets.

In addition, review and propose solutions to stabilize the market; diversify stabilized goods, call for the participation of enterprises to create a spillover effect in market stabilization work; continue to effectively organize the supply of goods, ensure essential goods to serve ethnic minorities and people in mountainous communes. In particular, the authorities continue to carry out market inspection and control, combat speculation, smuggling, trade in counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality goods, goods that do not ensure food hygiene and safety... to protect the interests of enterprises and consumers.
