The driver who threw the girl onto the hood of the car has confessed to all his actions.
Regarding the case of “Girl lying on car hood” as reported by SGGP Newspaper, on the evening of August 17, Tan Binh District Police (HCMC) arrested Nguyen Minh Duc (born in 1978, residing in Tan Phu District) to investigate the act of “Disturbing public order”.
At the police station, Duc confessed that on the evening of August 14, after attending a funeral, Duc drove his car with license plate 51H-700.00 to a coffee shop. At around 11 p.m. the same day, Duc continued driving to a drinking place on Lu Gia Street (District 10).
At around 1:30 a.m. on August 15, after finishing the drinking session, Duc drove home. When the car reached Dong Ho Street (Ward 8, Tan Binh District), Duc saw many motorbikes parked on the street in front of a bakery, obstructing the movement of cars.
At this time, Duc got out of the car and asked the people who had motorbikes parked there to move their motorbikes to the side so that he could pass. However, Duc and Ms. V. (born in 1997, living in Thu Duc City) had a conflict and argument.
Because he was drunk and angry, Duc stepped on the gas and drove straight forward, causing Ms. V. to be pushed onto the hood. At this time, Ms. V. grabbed the windshield wiper.
After that, Duc continued driving on Dong Ho Street. When he saw a motorbike chasing him from behind, Duc ran a red light and turned right onto Lac Long Quan Street. After driving about 100 meters, Duc stopped the car to let Ms. V. get off.
However, Duc saw that the motorbike was still chasing him, so he continued driving away even though Ms. V. had not yet gotten off. Duc only stopped the motorbike after driving a little further.
Currently, the police are continuing to consolidate the case file to handle the case according to regulations.
