The enthusiasm and dedication of a Party Cell Secretary

In recent times, Mr. Le Loc (born in 1956) - Secretary of the Lam Dien village Party cell, Tu Bong commune has actively participated in building the grassroots political system through many specific activities. He is also a shining example of enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and dedication in supporting the elderly in the locality.

Dedicated to association work

Previously, Mr. Loc was the Principal of Van Khanh Primary School. After retiring, from 2018 to present, he has been arranged by the locality to be the Secretary of the Lam Dien village Party Cell. At the 7th Congress of the Elderly Association of Van Khanh commune (old), term 2021 - 2026, he was elected as Chairman of the Elderly Association of the commune. He constantly innovates the method of operation, making the association a common home connecting 989 members of the whole commune. He propagates, mobilizes and establishes 3 new branches in the villages: Nhon Khanh, Hoi Khanh, Hoi Khanh Dong. At the same time, he directs and supervises the branches to build all kinds of funds, pays attention to developing the fund source, and collects full membership fees to have funds to organize activities. 5 elderly association branches in Van Khanh commune (old) are managing a fund source of more than 995 million VND. From this fund source, the branches lend to members for production and livestock raising, helping many families increase their income.

Despite his advanced age, he does not mind the sun or rain, directly going to the branches to grasp the situation and mobilize the elderly to participate in the organization of the association. He regularly updates information on the regime and policies for the elderly to guide the branches to support members fully, promptly, and in accordance with regulations. Elderly care activities such as: considering social allowances; wishing longevity, celebrating longevity; visiting, giving gifts when sick; visiting when deceased... are directed by Mr. Loc to be implemented carefully and promptly by the branches. In addition, he mobilizes funds to help the elderly in difficult circumstances, with disabilities... with an amount of about 9 million VND/year. He and the association have promoted patriotic emulation movements such as: "Old age - Bright example", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"; promoting the role of the elderly in mobilization and reconciliation work at the grassroots level...

Currently, while waiting for the organization of the association to be reorganized after the merger, he is assigned to be in charge of the work of the elderly in Tu Bong commune. As a party member, he is determined to always devote himself to supporting and helping the elderly.

Efforts to build a political system at the grassroots level

As the Secretary of the Village Party Cell, Mr. Loc always closely follows the resolutions of the Commune Party Committee and the Party Cell to deploy them to Party members for timely and proper implementation. He regularly propagates and disseminates legal policies to the people, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety at the grassroots level...

Identifying the task of developing party members as an important task, Mr. Loc actively carries out the work of training and creating sources for recruiting party members. Every year, Lam Dien village Party Cell recruits 1 to 2 new party members. He often visits homes to learn about their circumstances, thoughts, and aspirations to support and train outstanding people to join the Party. Mr. Loc said: “In 2024, the village Party Cell recruited 1 party member who is a Catholic. This is of great significance to local people and has a profound impact on Party building work. This demonstrates the attention, recognition, and creation of conditions for religious people to participate in Party building, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, consolidating people's trust in the Party and the State".

With many contributions to the Party and the Elderly Association, Mr. Loc has received many forms of commendation from all levels. In 2025, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Elderly Association for his outstanding achievements in participating in building the grassroots political system in the period of 2019 - 2024.

Ms. NGUYEN THI HANH - President of the Provincial Elderly Association: Mr. Le Loc is a responsible and dedicated person in the association's work. The work he proposed was highly agreed upon by the members, thereby helping the local Elderly Association movement to develop more and more. He is a typical example of "Old age - Bright example" in the movement of the elderly participating in building the political system at the grassroots level.
