Vietnamese Startups Get AI Training From Google Experts

From August 26 to August 29 at Software Park No. 2, Da Nang city, Google, in collaboration with the National Innovation Center (NIC) and the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in Circuit Design and Artificial Intelligence (DSAC), organized the AI Solutions Lab program. This program is part of the "Building the AI Future" initiative initiated by Google, aiming to support Vietnam's digital transformation through strengthening the country's AI ecosystem.

The program provides local AI startups with Google's full suite of AI tools and platforms – from building, scaling to security and launch strategy – with guidance from leading experts.

Throughout the program, participating businesses tackled specific challenges, refined their GenAI solutions, and received detailed training on how to optimize their Google Cloud environments. They rapidly developed prototypes through short development cycles, leveraging key design patterns for GenAI applications.

Going beyond technical skills, the program also equips teams with product preparation and presentation skills through in-depth workshops, ensuring that demos and presentations fully convey creative value.

12 outstanding startups presented AI solutions aimed at solving key social, environmental and economic issues after 4 days of training. This opens up opportunities to attract investment and strategic cooperation, contributing to the development of Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem.

Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that choosing Da Nang as the venue for the program affirms the city's position in the field of high technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) - a strategic technology associated with the orientation of building a smart, creative and sustainable urban area.

“ I believe that Google for Startups: AI Solutions Lab is not only a training program, but also a launching pad for Vietnamese technology startups to break through, making Da Nang a leading center for innovation and technology in the region,” Mr. Ho Quang Buu emphasized.

Mr. Marc Woo, General Director of Google Vietnam, shared: “The strategic cooperation with NIC and the Da Nang Center for Research and Training on Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence has brought about concrete results, showing that public-private partnerships are promoting the National Digital Transformation plan and affirming Vietnam's leading position in AI in the region.”

AI Solutions Lab is an important highlight, concluding a two-phase journey for Vietnamese startups, following the Google for Startups: AI Bootcamp program that took place in Ho Chi Minh City last week from September 19 to September 21.

The program brought together 72 startups and 150 representatives, providing in-depth knowledge of Google's cutting-edge AI technologies, expert mentorship, and access to Google Cloud to accelerate innovation and growth.
