In recent times, forest tourism has been chosen by many tourists to experience and explore nature directly. Through popular activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, cave tours, camping, etc., tourists have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wild nature and enjoy the fresh air. Ensuring the safety of tourists in Ninh Binh province has been a regular concern of all levels, sectors and businesses. However, in reality, there are still many potential risks affecting the lives and health of tourists, leading to a number of accidents when traveling in the forest.

Document No. 381/SDL - QLLH dated August 19, 2025 of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism on recommendations for measures to ensure safety for tourists stated: To ensure the safety of tourists when experiencing various types of tourism, the Department of Tourism recommends that the People's Committees at the commune level, Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations, and tourism service establishments in the province strengthen propaganda work and raise awareness for tourists. Diversify forms of propaganda so that people and tourists can easily access and understand the risks and preventive measures when traveling in the forest.

Along with that, the Management Board of eco-tourism areas and spots needs to strengthen the warning work, place warning signs, instructions, and set up markers, and coordinate with forest rangers and security forces to strictly control illegal trekking activities.

Publicize the Ninh Binh province tourist support hotline 1900.0117 and the hotline of the Management Board of tourist areas and attractions in visible locations. Coordinate the development and implementation of rescue plans, prepare vehicles to be ready to serve the search, rescue and rescue missions for tourists in all situations.

At the same time, travel agencies must train and send experienced tour guides who are knowledgeable about the terrain and have rescue skills to join the group. Tour guides need to thoroughly explain the rules, routes and necessary equipment when organizing tours.

Ninh Binh Department of Tourism also recommends that tourists strictly follow safety instructions, prepare health and appropriate equipment before participating in activities in the forest.

Special attention for visitors: Always go in groups, absolutely do not separate from the group or go alone. Dress neatly, wear suitable climbing shoes, bring raincoats, insect repellent. Prepare enough drinking water, some basic medical supplies, and necessary snacks. Keep in regular contact with the tour guide/group, obey the gathering signal. Do not damage the natural landscape, do not touch strange animals or plants. Immediately notify the tour guide or management board if you feel tired, lost or have an accident. Absolutely do not trek on your own, do not go deep into the forest without the guidance of the authorities or tour guide.
