It is known that the new Lung Cang bridge was started on July 7, after the collapse of the old bridge left more than 70 households isolated.

Since then, people have had to move across the stream by clinging to the broken pieces of the old bridge or using rafts, causing many safety risks. To solve this situation, the People's Committee of Vi Xuyen district has called for support from philanthropists to rebuild the bridge.

The new bridge is built with a reinforced concrete structure, with a load capacity of 10 tons, 44m long, 3.5m wide, spanning a stream in Thuan Hoa commune with a total cost of about 3 billion VND. Of which, the benefactor supported 2 billion VND and Vi Xuyen district contributed 1 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed within 3-4 months.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, leaders of Vi Xuyen district emphasized the importance of the new bridge to the lives of people in Lung Cang and Lung Buong villages as well as neighboring areas in the commune, saying that it will make practical contributions to improving the quality of life and promoting traffic and community connection.
