Quang Nam strengthens inspection and supervision of relic restoration projects

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committees at all levels to strictly implement the Law on Cultural Heritage and its guiding documents; regulations on investment and construction in the implementation of projects to preserve, renovate and restore relics, investment projects and works in relic protection areas.

Localities and functional sectors shall step up inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of relic restoration and embellishment projects in accordance with the procedures and contents prescribed by law.

Resolutely and strictly handle violations that affect the value of relics (if any); ensure harmony between cultural heritage conservation and sustainable socio -economic development of the locality.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with the District People's Committees, relevant agencies and units to strengthen the implementation of the state management function over donations and sponsorship money at historical and cultural relics in the area.

Ensure that donations and sponsorships for relics and festival activities are used publicly, transparently, effectively, for the right purposes, and in accordance with regulations; contribute to preserving and promoting the nation's fine traditional culture and actively contribute to the conservation, restoration, and embellishment of relics, the organization of festivals, and the promotion of the value of Vietnam's cultural heritage.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to review and urge the implementation of projects under the Program for the preservation and sustainable promotion of the values of Vietnamese cultural heritage, period 2021 - 2030 according to Decision No. 1230, dated July 15, 2021 of the Prime Minister , which has been assigned the medium-term public investment plan of central budget capital for the period 2021 - 2025.
