Head of the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management (Department of Transport) - Mr. Chau Ngoc Lieu informed that regarding road transport, Quang Nam currently has 17 passenger bus stations; including 1 type 2 bus station, 3 type 4 bus stations, 2 type 5 bus stations... Inland waterways have 35 cross-river passenger stations; 113 passenger stations, general stations. Of which, inland waterway stations currently operating (excluding cross-river passenger stations) are 22 stations (14 cargo stations and 8 passenger stations).
Inland waterways have a total of 905 vehicles, including 549 passenger vehicles, 346 cargo vehicles, 11 floating restaurants and other vehicles. Of these, 280 vehicles operate mainly on the Thu Bon, Hoi An, Truong Giang rivers and the Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham transport route.
The provincial Department of Transport has coordinated with the Department of Transport of Da Nang City to reopen two non-subsidized inter-provincial bus routes Tam Ky - Da Nang, Hoi An - Da Nang on April 26, 2024. From April 26 to July 24, 2024, these two bus routes operated a total of 24,662 trips with 172,607 passengers.
In addition, the Department of Transport closed the routes for 4 intra-provincial bus routes (Tam Ky - Hiep Duc; Tam Ky - Dai Phong; Tam Ky - Dai Lanh; Tam Ky - Que Son) due to the expiration of the exploitation contract and the transport unit having no plan or investment needs to continue signing the exploitation contract according to regulations.
