Promoting unified strength, Long Thanh firmly enters new term

In the 2020-2025 term, the commune has basic advantages, but also faces many difficulties and challenges. However, thanks to the solidarity and high political determination of the entire political system, especially the consensus of the people and businesses, the commune has achieved many positive results.

In terms of economy , the total production value of the whole commune reached more than 11,849 billion VND, an increase of 8.5% compared to the beginning of the term; the average income per capita reached 64.7 million VND/year, exceeding the resolution target. All 3 old communes (Long Thanh, Vinh Thanh, Vinh Phu) met the new rural standards, of which the old Long Thanh commune met the advanced new rural standards. The models of high-quality rice production, garden - pond - barn, fruit tree planting, aquaculture brought in an average income of 100 - 120 million VND/ha/year...

Party building work has been maintained in order; the rate of party members completing their tasks well is over 90%; 100% of commune cadres have a university degree or higher (an increase of 5% compared to 2020). The emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" has 118 recognized models. The whole commune has eliminated 83 temporary houses and built 222 great solidarity houses, contributing to significantly improving people's lives.

- Reporter: What factors or methods have helped Long Thanh achieve such positive results?

- Comrade Thai Van Phuc: Right from the beginning of the term, the Commune Party Committee identified Party building as the key task, economic development as the center. The Party Committee focused on ideological work, improving the capacity of grassroots Party organizations, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members. The organizational apparatus was streamlined, staff was assigned according to capacity, and at the same time, attention was paid to training young cadres with innovative thinking.

At the same time, the commune promotes administrative reform, digital transformation, and application of technology in production; mobilizes people to participate in movements and campaigns such as the whole people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, "Skilled mass mobilization", Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods, farmers are good at production and business... We consider people's strength as an important resource, arousing the spirit of self-reliance, so all major policies receive high consensus.

- Reporter: What key goals and breakthroughs does the Party Committee of the commune set out in the new term 2025 - 2030, to help Long Thanh commune develop quickly and sustainably?

- Comrade Thai Van Phuc: The Party Committee of the commune sets the target of achieving an average economic growth of 10% per year by 2030; average income per capita of 100 million VND per year; urbanization rate of over 14%; promoting the development of private economy, collective economy associated with agricultural and rural eco-tourism; striving to build a commune that meets advanced new rural standards.

The Party Committee of the commune also identified three breakthroughs during the term. One is to restructure the agricultural sector towards green, organic, low-emission; promote the development of collective economy and agricultural and rural eco-tourism. Two is to invest in infrastructure, attract businesses to invest in industrial and service clusters. Three is to promote digital transformation, build digital government, improve the management, operation and service capacity of the government apparatus to the people.

We believe that, with the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of daring to think and dare to do, and the consensus of the people and businesses, Long Thanh commune will develop strongly in the new period.
