Tien Phong Commune authorities said that the large crack was located on a hill in Long Quang village. As soon as they heard the news, the leaders of the Commune People's Committee and representatives of the Commune Military Command directly inspected the scene, assessed the level of danger and deployed timely response measures.

Field inspection showed that the crack was over 100 meters long and about 60 centimeters deep. The location of the crack was on a steep hillside, with a high risk of landslides.
At the foot of the hill where the crack appeared, there are currently 2 households and a civil carpentry workshop with 28 people living and working. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lo Thi Nguyet commune has directed the implementation of emergency measures: zoning the dangerous area; organizing forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor geological developments; and making plans to temporarily relocate households at high risk.
At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people not to approach the cracked area to ensure maximum safety for people's lives.

Previously, landslides also occurred in Tien Phong commune in Long Thang and Long Tien villages, forcing 29 households in dangerous areas to evacuate urgently.

Tien Phong Commune People's Committee has surveyed and made a list of households with houses at the foot of hills and along streams and creeks at risk of being buried by soil and rocks, or flooded, to report to the Provincial People's Committee to be included in the emergency evacuation list.
