On the afternoon of January 10, the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced that it had launched the second round of the Award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology , morality and style" for the period 2021-2025.
The award aims to encourage and motivate artists and journalists who have many works of high ideological and artistic value. Thereby, promoting and affirming the purpose, meaning and effect of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
According to the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, in the second round, the Award is divided into 2 groups, including the professional group and the mass movement group.
The professional block includes local art units; members of literary and artistic associations; artists working at cultural and artistic units; press and publishing agencies, etc. belonging to press units in the city.
The movement bloc includes all Ho Chi Minh City citizens and overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living, studying and working in the city.
Entries must depict, be creative, and clearly and specifically demonstrate the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the preliminary councils of the award will receive entries and documents in January 2025. The deadline for the preliminary council to send documents to the final council is February 28, 2025.
The preliminary jury will evaluate and select works that meet the criteria and regulations of the award. Then, the documents will be compiled and submitted to the final jury for consideration. The award is expected to be presented on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Previously, on the evening of October 25, 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with HTV Television Station and the City Department of Culture and Sports to award 116 awards for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the first phase.
