The emotional clip of a female student of Ho Chi Minh City Central Pedagogical College and her biological mother at the graduation ceremony attracted nearly 60,000 likes and thousands of comments on TikTok.

In the clip, a female student thoughtfully puts a bachelor's gown on her elderly mother with white hair at the recent graduation ceremony, suddenly became a trend on TikTok.

As of the afternoon of August 13, the clip had attracted nearly 900,000 views.

The girl in the clip is Rơ lan H Thì (23 years old), who just graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Central Pedagogical College. Thì's mother, Mrs. Rơ lan H Ayuk (59 years old) had the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony with her daughter.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Thi said he did not expect the clip in which he just wanted to record memories with his mother to receive so many shares and comments from TikTok users.

Most of them were comments sharing and sympathizing with the mother-child relationship, along with congratulations sent to Thi. "I feel very happy to receive everyone's attention," Thi said.

Thi shared that she lost her father when she was in the third grade. In Bau Can commune (formerly Chu Prong district, Gia Lai ), her mother worked in the fields and raised Thi's four siblings by herself.

"I am the third child in the family. After graduating from high school in 2021, I worked as a tutor to earn money for nearly 2 years before going to preschool college. I chose to study this major not only because I love children but also to ease the burden of tuition fees for my family," Thi confided.

The girl's graduation ceremony was the first time Thi's mother came from the Central Highlands to Ho Chi Minh City. Thi said that at first, her mother was reluctant to go because of the long distance and her health, but Thi kept encouraging her and went to Gia Lai to pick her up.

"My mother was very happy to see me graduate. But she didn't say anything. I want to thank my mother because she is my strong support," Thi said.

As a Jrai, Thi said that his mother was very few words. But it was her simplicity and only knowing how to work hard to take care of her children that gave Thi strong feelings about her mother.

"My mother taught me the lesson of first doing my job well, no matter how small. If I work hard, I will have a better life one day," Thi recalled.

Currently, Thi has returned to Gia Lai. She has applied for a job at a preschool near her home. Thi hopes to be able to work and live with her mother, taking care of her mother in the near future.
