In the autumn weather of Hanoi , red flags with yellow stars fluttered, and military music echoed throughout Ba Dinh. In the sky, formations of fighter planes tore through the wind, demonstrating the power to protect the Fatherland. On the ground, troops with modern equipment, from the army, to the police force, militia, etc., marched past the stage one after another, moving millions of people.
Many people present at the square could not hold back their tears when witnessing the solemnity and heroic spirit of the nation. Not only was it an occasion to remember history, the ceremony was also a strong message about the strength and aspiration of Vietnam to rise in the new era.
80 years ago, in the fall of 1945, the entire people rose up to seize power, opening a new era: the era of independence, freedom, and people's mastery. The image of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence in this very square has become an immortal symbol.
Today, in the atmosphere of great celebrations, people are more deeply imbued with the value of independence and freedom. The passing of the parade blocks is not only an image of military strength, but also a testament to the intelligence and inner strength of the nation. The fact that Vietnam has mastered many advanced defense technologies, from radar, electronic warfare to drones, is proof that the country is gradually growing stronger.
Reporters from the Government Electronic Newspaper talked with people about their feelings and emotions after watching the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

Heroic spirit and national pride
Mr. Le Cong Luong (86 years old), war invalid, 65 years of Party membership, former Deputy Commander of Dao Me (Thanh Hoa) during the resistance war against the US, currently living in Ho Chi Minh City: I feel proud to be a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam and very happy with the attention of the Party, State and Government to people's lives. I am especially honored to receive 65 years of Party membership on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
80 years is a long historical journey, from the days when people rose up to gain independence to today when the country is strongly striving for integration. The celebration at Ba Dinh has created a special bridge: connecting the glorious past, the steadfast present and the bright future.
I am old so I did not go directly to watch the parade at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, but I woke up early to watch the live broadcast of the celebration.
I am very proud of the parades, marches, including weapons and military equipment on land, at sea and in the air. In particular, Vietnam has mastered a number of high-tech weapons and equipment such as missile complexes, types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and radar complexes, electronic warfare vehicles, and communication equipment completely independently researched, designed, and manufactured by Viettel Group.

The daily growth of the country
Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu, Chairman of the Saigon Business Association: My family and I turned on the TV early before the opening ceremony to watch the important event of the nation and were deeply moved when listening to the speech of General Secretary To Lam. The short and concise speech touched the hearts of millions of viewers about the glorious and proud 80-year journey of the nation and the journey of development and growth of our country.
The celebration program created strong emotions for the audience, filled with national pride and self-esteem. The event fully demonstrated the armed forces, representative groups of organizations and people, creating a united and heroic atmosphere about the development of Vietnam. Thereby, creating a new spirit, a new driving force for the development process of the country when entering a new era, the era of national growth.
Through the images of parades and military parades, my family members and I, from the elderly to the young children, all felt the growth of the country, as well as the solidarity of the people. This day has only come once in 80 years, this is truly a memory, an indelible mark in each person.
After the ceremony, I believe that many people will further foster the spirit of national pride and will turn it into concrete actions in life to contribute to the development of the country.

Stimulate patriotism
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Vice President of the Southern Startup Council (VCCI): It can be said that the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 is an opportunity to strengthen the great national unity bloc, foster patriotism, and arouse the desire for development. Love for the Fatherland, like an endless stream, flows through each generation. From the fathers and brothers who sacrificed for independence to today's young generation who are diligently creating and starting businesses, all share the same aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
As a person born in the Mekong Delta, now living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, when watching the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, I felt very moved and very proud. Living in peace, witnessing the remarkable development of the country, that is happiness and also a great responsibility for myself as well as for the young people.
If the previous generation watched the parade to remember the years of fighting, then in my opinion, through today's solemn and meaningful ceremony, the younger generation will be further imbued with faith and motivation to continue striving.
The ceremony demonstrates the strength and resilience of the nation, of our ancestors' generation to gain independence and freedom as today. This further motivates me and other young entrepreneurs to strive harder and contribute more to building an increasingly prosperous country.
The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) is not only a historical event, but also a reminder of civic responsibility and love for the homeland. In that sacred moment, national pride is ignited, making every Vietnamese person more confident and determined to unite to build an increasingly prosperous, civilized and powerful Vietnam.

Young generation turns love of country into concrete action
Le Cong Bao, a second-year student at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City: For more than a month now, I have been following the preparations for the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2nd, and today I witnessed the solemn, grand, and meaningful parade. I feel proud because I am Vietnamese. My love for my country burns more and more in me and I feel the daily growth and development of my country.
Today's images make me and other young people understand more clearly our responsibility in studying and training to contribute to building the country and be proud to be the next generation. And I am more deeply aware of my own efforts and struggles, especially the need to turn love for the country into concrete actions.
In my opinion, first of all, patriotism in youth is shown through studying and training. Studying is not only a duty but also a way to improve qualifications and knowledge, contributing to the development of the country. A patriotic youth will always strive to become a useful citizen, contributing to society with his own talent and intelligence.
Patriotism among young people is also expressed through their dedication and active participation in social activities, youth movements, and volunteer programs for the community. At the same time, patriotism is also the alertness and courage in fighting against distorted and destructive thoughts and arguments from hostile external forces.
Patriotic youth need to know how to balance patriotism and the spirit of international integration and cooperation, thereby contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the international arena.
