On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the Truth National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Vietnam Press Museum launched the book "100 professional stories" bringing interesting sharing from Vietnamese and international journalists.
The book gathers many typical and highly symbolic professional stories. “From a pink brick to a revolutionary journalist” recounts the journey of laying the foundation for Vietnam’s revolutionary journalism with Thanh Nien newspaper, associated with the name of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, or “Learning to write from life and the working class” affirms that revolutionary journalism must be closely linked to reality, with the people being the center of creativity.
Some of the stories that left a strong impression on journalists Truong Chinh and Xuan Thuy include “The incident of losing the box of cufflinks,” “Doing journalism on a bamboo bed,” etc. “The story behind the photo of two soldiers” by journalist Chu Chi Thanh - a testament to the power of reconciliation through images.
Besides, "For every journalist to truly be a secretary of the times" by journalist Ha Dang opens up reflections on the role of social orientation of the press in the period of innovation.

The story of the famous phrase “Bright eyes, pure heart, sharp pen” by journalist Huu Tho sets a standard for sustainable careers.
“From a soldier who loves writing to a teacher of journalism” is a truthful account by journalist Ta Ngoc Tan about his personal passions and his career in journalism training.
The book is not only the story of each person, but also a vivid memory of press agencies - the "milestones" associated with each historical period. From the journey of building Nhan Dan Newspaper - the mouthpiece of the Central Party, to the process of forming Tin Tuc (Vietnam News Agency) in urgent and pressured conditions. Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, born right after the reunification of the country, carried on its shoulders the great responsibility of ideological work in a land that was once divided.
It is impossible not to mention other forms of media such as radio, television, and documentaries - with the first news bulletins from Voice of Vietnam , the first broadcast frames of Vietnam Television, or films produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio - all of which contributed to creating a comprehensive and vivid revolutionary press.
Each article and each story originating from the authors' rich working practices has become an important piece in the 100-year process of journalism accompanying the nation.
Through these stories, readers can also partly visualize the process of building and growing up of the Party's key press agencies such as: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Voice of Vietnam Radio, Vietnam News Agency, People's Army Newspaper...
The book is a reminder that journalism is not just a job, but a mission. Each page of the book is a tribute, a memory of journalism preserved in words and also a flame that continues to light the way for young writers to firmly step on the journey of journalism for the people and the country./.
