Quang Tri province, after merging with Quang Binh province, has an area of nearly 12,700 km2 , a population of more than 1.8 million people, and is expected to have 78 commune-level administrative units.
The Standing Committees of the two provinces discussed and agreed on the personnel plan for the provincial Party Committees after the merger. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee (new) consists of 63 members, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has 18 members, and the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has 15 members.

Specifically, 15 Party Committee members were assigned to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary of communes and wards, including 3 members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee as Party Committee Secretaries of wards with important positions, economic scale, developed traffic infrastructure, urban areas, large number of Party members and population.
Meanwhile, Binh Dinh province will merge with Gia Lai province and take the name Gia Lai province, the political and administrative center is expected to be located in the current Binh Dinh province.
After the arrangement, Gia Lai province (new) has an area of about 21,500km2 , a population of more than 3.5 million people, with 135 commune-level administrative units, including 110 communes and 25 wards.
In the plan to reorganize the apparatus and personnel, it is expected that the new province will have 62 provincial party committee members, including 33 from Binh Dinh province and 29 from Gia Lai province. Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ho Quoc Dung informed that all provincial party committee members have been assigned suitable jobs, and there is no case that has not been assigned.
Of these, 14 provincial Party Committee members were assigned to the positions of directors of provincial departments and branches. In addition, 8 provincial Party Committee members were assigned to work at the commune and ward levels, including 6 from Binh Dinh province and 2 from Gia Lai province.
Regarding the new Ca Mau province (merging Ca Mau and Bac Lieu), the personnel plan for the executive committee, standing committee, and inspection committee of the provincial Party Committee was also approved by the leaders of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces.
Specifically, the new Executive Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee consists of 79 members, of whom 58 are eligible for re-election for the 2025-2030 term (26 in Bac Lieu and 32 in Ca Mau). The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has 29 members, of whom 22 are eligible for re-election.
The Standing Committees of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces also agreed that the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee should have 15 members. The two provinces agreed to propose to the competent authority to allow the addition of members to the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term to facilitate the addition of female and young cadres to the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee where necessary. The number of members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee is guaranteed not to exceed 1/3 of the number of Executive Committee members.
Ca Mau Province (new) has a natural area of nearly 8,000km2 , a population of more than 2.6 million people, including 64 administrative units (55 communes and 9 wards). The administrative - political center of the new province is located in Ca Mau.
In Da Nang City (new), the proposed personnel plan proposed by the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat to appoint 75 people to participate in the City Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 terms is; of which Quang Nam province has 37 people, Da Nang city has 38 people.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee consists of 23 members, of which Quang Nam province has 13 members and Da Nang city has 10 members. Key leadership positions include 6 members.
Quang Nam province has also sent 37 personnel files and proposals for Party committee appointments to the Central Organizing Committee for review and submission to the Secretariat for consideration and decision.
