Implementing the direction of the Party Central Committee member, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater will open free of charge to serve visitors and the public on the occasion of September 2.
At a meeting with the collective leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the implementation of a number of key tasks of the Ministry in the coming time, Minister Nguyen Van Hung stated: On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the leaders of the Party, State and Government have directed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize many major activities to arouse pride in the glorious historical tradition of the country over the past 80 years, to create motivation and inspiration for our nation to enter a new era, an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development.
Therefore, the Minister requested that museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism open free of charge to serve people and international visitors from September 1-3, 2025.
According to the Minister, through these activities, we aim to help people truly enjoy the achievements of our country, while also contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese culture, country and people to friends in the region and the world .

On this occasion, at museums, the unit will organize many displays and exhibitions introducing the history, culture, country and people of Vietnam.
Specifically, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, there will be activities such as: Thematic exhibition of 80 years of the People's Public Security engraved with Uncle Ho's words, expected to open on August 15; Thematic exhibition of Independence Autumn to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, expected to open on August 26 and Exhibition of large-size oil paintings Independence Spring at the outdoor space of Ho Chi Minh Museum, scheduled to open on September 2.
At the Vietnam National Museum of History, there will be an exhibition called Popular Education - Lighting up the Future. scheduled to open on August 22.
At the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition Children of the Fatherland will take place (expected to open on August 15); the exhibition Artificial Intelligence in Applied Fine Arts is expected to open on August 22.
The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City will also host the exhibition Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a Man .
At the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, according to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups will direct the organization of many attractive activities, introducing the traditional culture of ethnic minorities through the highland market space and cultural and artistic activities celebrating the National Day of the ethnic communities living in the Village.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung said that it is expected that during the 3 days of free opening, the Village will serve about 50,000 visitors.
Following the Minister's direction, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang, Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, said: The theater will open for free to serve the public, especially children, from September 1-3 with water puppetry shows and attractive art and music programs./.
