Young musician from Thanh Hoa wins award for composing songs about the National Assembly and People's Council

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Young musician Viet Hoang (born in 1987) - Member of the Music Department of the Thanh Hoa Province Literature and Arts Association, won the encouragement prize in the song composition campaign about the National Assembly and People's Council, with the song "National Assembly - Vietnam's Strength".

Musician Viet Hoang was born in Ngoc Lac town, Ngoc Lac district. In 2007, Viet Hoang graduated from the Faculty of Music Education. Although he started composing quite early, it was not until 2022, when he wrote the song "Dia com tren tuong", which received much love from the audience, that the musician continued to compose many songs such as "Ru que", "Loi me ru", "Duoi mai truong xua", "Bac Trong sang mot nhan nghia", "Vang duong Ba Dinh"... In particular, the song "Vang duong Ba Dinh" was selected to be printed in the Thanh Van Nghe Xu Magazine (Thanh Hoa Province Literature and Arts Association) No. 358, May 2025, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Sharing about the process of composing the song “National Assembly – Vietnam’s Strength”, musician Viet Hoang said that when writing this song, he had sleepless nights researching historical documents about the country to find emotions. In particular, special events such as the Dien Hong Conference in 1285 against the Yuan-Mongol invaders and the National Congress in Tan Trao in 1945 – the predecessor of today’s Vietnamese National Assembly, inspired the musician to write the first melodies of the song: Since the founding of Vietnam, the country has been in danger many times/The people’s hearts have never wavered, determined to preserve the homeland...

Currently, Musician Viet Hoang is living and teaching music at Viet Hoang Music Center (Quang Tho Ward, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province).
