People's Army Publishing House received the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal

On the morning of July 11, in Hanoi, the People's Army Publishing House held a ceremony to receive the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal and celebrate the 75th anniversary of its tradition (July 11, 1950 - July 11, 2025).

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the People's Army Publishing House.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh pinned the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal on the Victory Flag of the People's Army Publishing House.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh praised the results, achievements and contributions of generations of cadres and soldiers of the People's Army Publishing House who have strived over the past 75 years, especially in the resistance wars for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland.

"During the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, officers and soldiers of the People's Army Publishing House steadfastly stayed close to the battlefield, promptly edited, printed and distributed propaganda publications to serve the revolutionary mission. The publications born in the midst of war were not only a means of disseminating the Party and State's guidelines and policies, and the army's missions, but also a great source of encouragement for soldiers on the fierce battlefield," said Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh.

In the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested that the publishing work in the army in general and the activities of the People's Army Publishing House in particular must have a new, more comprehensive and solid development step, worthy of being the core force, tool and sharp ideology of the Party, State and army in the new period.

"The People's Army Publishing House needs to firmly grasp the orientation, politics, and ideology, ensuring that each publication is an ideological weapon with widespread power,educational value, and high combat potential..., contributing to building and defending the Fatherland," Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh emphasized.

According to Colonel, writer Pham Van Truong, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Publishing House, to date the unit has published more than 20,000 book titles with nearly 70 million printed copies and more than 6.5 billion printed pages.

With its achievements, the People's Army Publishing House has been awarded many noble prizes such as: First-class Military Exploit Medal (1969); First-class Military Exploit Medal (1982); Third-class Independence Medal (1997, 2007); Third-class Labor Medal (2015); Second-class Fatherland Protection Medal (2020)...
