Before We Get Married is a film that accurately reflects the current burning issue of adultery. With only 13 episodes, the original version conquered a large audience from Taiwan, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and especially received a lot of love in Vietnam.
The film received a rating of 8.1/10 on MyDramaList, 7.3/10 on IMDb, and 9.1/10 on Rakuten Viki. In addition, supporting actress Phoebe Yuan was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series at the 55th Golden Bell Awards.
The Vietnamese version, called Love Before the Wedding, is directed by director and screenwriter Thach Thao, who is behind the success of the two films Cay Tao No Hoa and Gao Nep Gao Te . The female director chose a plot that is suitable for Vietnamese audiences, using "trendy" dialogues placed in reasonable situations in the film, giving the public a different perspective on remakes.
In particular, the film also features a cast of famous actors loved by the audience such as Meritorious Artist My Duyen, actors Le Khanh, Nha Phuong, Song Luan, Quoc Anh, Minh Trang, Si Thanh, Huu Vi...
Nha Phuong and Song Luan play the two main roles of the film.

Coming to Love Before the Wedding, the actors coordinate smoothly, clearly expressing the characters' emotions and personalities.
According to the crew, this is also a big challenge for the filmmakers and actors. The film is re-used in a new, more subtle way, with international social issues closer to Vietnamese culture and psychology, more suitable for the Vietnamese lifestyle but still closely following the original.
Director Thach Thao also hopes to return with a "huge" cast with a successful work like previous projects.
