Hai Phong people are proud to watch the Independence Day parade

This morning, all the streets and alleys in Hai Phong were filled with the atmosphere of the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

Focus on live viewing

The parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd took place from 6am on September 2nd and was broadcast live on many platforms. Hai Phong residents prepared early to watch.

Since the evening of September 1, residential group number 25 (Ngo Quyen ward) has announced on the group that it will organize for people to watch the ceremony at the house of the party cell secretary.

At 6:00 a.m. on September 2, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhac, 89 years old, a 60-year Party member, came to watch the parade and march with the people.

Mr. Nhac said that every year he celebrates National Day on September 2nd with emotion, but this year is the 80th anniversary, the feeling becomes more special when he sits with the neighborhood to watch the live broadcast of the parade and march.

“Gathering with the neighbors and witnessing the majestic parade of the Vietnam People’s Army, the joy and pride seemed to multiply. It was a truly sacred feeling,” Mr. Nhac emotionally shared.

Sharing the same atmosphere, at Nguyen Kim electronics supermarket at 104 Luong Khanh Thien street (Gia Vien ward), officials, employees, residents, and many passersby watched live the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tiep, supermarket manager, said that this year's Independence Day is a great event for the whole nation. The unit has arranged an 85-inch TV screen and free drinks for the neighborhood residents and staff to directly witness and enjoy the heroic moments of the parade.

Hai Phong towards historic Ba Dinh Square

Along with the whole country turning to the historic Ba Dinh Square, the Hai Phong City Border Guard Command, border posts, stations, and ships in Hai Phong organized for officers and soldiers to directly watch the parade.

At exactly 6:00 a.m. on September 2, officers and soldiers in full uniform gathered in the hall to attend the flag-raising ceremony broadcast live from Ba Dinh Square and to watch the parade.

In particular, participating in this parade, the Hai Phong City Border Guard force has 3 comrades participating in the male border guard officer block. This is not only an honor for the comrades but also for the city's border guard force.

Officers and soldiers on duty ready to fight at sea also looked forward to the nation's important holiday and eagerly followed the event on TV, phones...

At sea, especially in remote areas, communication conditions and telephone networks are unstable, but officers and soldiers always strive to overcome difficulties, sharing in the great joy of the nation and country.

In the city, many cadres, party members and people in Hai An and Dong Hai wards, Kien Thuy, Kien Hai and Kien Minh communes... gathered very early in front of the screen to watch the live broadcast of the parade.

Meaningful, heroic

In the solemn atmosphere, with the brilliant flags of Independence Day, people attentively watched each heroic army march across the stage, each marching group representing the people. The images evoked the heroic spirit of the nation, affirming the strength of great national unity, pride and determination to build and defend the fatherland.

Vu Thanh Van, a 7th grade student at To Hieu Secondary School, excitedly said: “I really like seeing the soldiers and policemen marching in unison and strongly. I feel proud of my country and want to study better to contribute to building the country in the future.”

For Ms. Le Thi Mien in Hai An ward, all 3 generations in the family watched the parade together, feeling really touched and proud.

"The program has recreated the heroic spirit of the nation over the past 80 years, affirming the strength of solidarity and firm belief in the leadership of the Party. I believe that today's young generation will be more proud and have a sense of responsibility to continue building and protecting the Fatherland," Ms. Mien shared.

On the morning of September 2, the militia and self-defense forces and a large number of people in Hai Duong Ward (Hai Phong City) watched live television of the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day in Hanoi. The viewing was held solemnly at the Ward Military Command Hall, in a proud and solemn atmosphere.

Many families choose to stay home and watch the parade live with their family instead of going away like in previous years.

Mr. Vu Phi Long, Commander of the Ward Military Command, shared: “Watching the parade with my comrades and the people, I was very moved. The image of the forces marching strongly reminded us of our responsibility to train and be ready when the Fatherland needs us.”

In a remote ward in the west of Hai Phong City, Mr. Phung Van Song (Le Dai Hanh Ward) did not have the opportunity to go to Hanoi to watch the parade and march to celebrate National Day in person, but he and his friends watched the entire event through their phone screens, still feeling the solemn and heroic atmosphere of this important holiday.

Although Mr. Phung Van Song (Le Dai Hanh ward, in the middle) did not have the opportunity to go to Hanoi to watch the parade in person to celebrate National Day, he and his friends watched the entire event through their phone screens.

In Gia Phuc commune, Ms. Pham Thi Xoa's family has been working away from home for many years. On this special holiday, the whole family chose to gather with their grandparents to watch the parade live instead of going far away. The moments when the whole family of many generations watched together to feel the atmosphere of the important historical autumn days were meaningful and had profound educational value.

Residential Group No. 5 May To organized for people to watch the parade live at the cultural house. There were more than 30 people in the group, everyone wore red shirts with yellow stars, waving the national flag with infinite pride.

The ceremony has ended and left many beautiful echoes and pride in the hearts of Hai Phong people. That pride will become the motivation for Hai Phong people to have more confidence in the path, future, and development spirit of their homeland and country.
