Ha Tinh elderly people participate in digital transformation, green transformation

On the morning of July 28, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the Ha Tinh Provincial Association of the Elderly jointly organized a workshop on "Assessing the needs and current situation of the elderly participating in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation".

Mr. Truong Xuan Cu, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly chaired the workshop.

Over the past time, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (VAE) has always been aware of the role, potential and contributions of its members and the elderly nationwide. The Association has implemented many activities to promote the role of the elderly, from participating in social work, preserving national cultural identity, to developing family economy and building new rural areas.

In the context of strong digital transformation and green transformation, comprehensive research and assessment of the needs and current situation of the elderly in accessing and participating in these fields has become more urgent than ever.

Mr. Thai Sinh - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Elderly Association affirmed that the Ha Tinh Elderly Association will effectively implement the Government's Project "Elderly people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation".

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing, and evaluating objectively and multi-dimensionally issues related to the elderly using digital technology to improve their quality of life; the elderly's interest in issues and fields related to the environment and green lifestyle. Policies to encourage and support the elderly in economic development and job creation.

Mr. Vo Van Thang, owner of a mixed livestock farm in Cam Lac commune, Ha Tinh province, gave a speech.

Besides the desire to receive attention from local authorities, the elderly delegates attending the workshop also proposed practical and effective solutions to maximize the role of the elderly in the overall development of the country.

Mr. Truong Xuan Cu, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Association of the Elderly, delivered a concluding speech at the workshop.

Speaking at the end of the workshop, the leader of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly highly appreciated the active participation of the elderly in Ha Tinh in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation.

At the same time, it affirmed that this is an opportunity for the Central Association of the Elderly to substantially assess the needs and current situation of the elderly in Ha Tinh in the new context, and to assess the ability of the Ha Tinh Provincial Association of the Elderly in advising and effectively implementing the Government's Project 379. The information collected at the workshop will be a valuable basis for the Central Association of the Elderly to develop more appropriate and practical orientations and policies in the coming time.
