Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc, Chairman of the Ca Mau Province Business Association, affirmed: "The press is a reliable and effective companion of the business community."

- What does the Ca Mau business community need from the press, sir?

Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc: The press plays a very important role, not only as a bridge and information forum, but also in giving advice, proposing and suggesting solutions, both in specific aspects and in major orientations related to mechanisms and policies for the stability and development of the business community.

Currently, Ca Mau has more than 4,000 enterprises, contributing about 1/3 of the local budget, making an important contribution and having a significant impact on the stability and overall development of the province. If the business community is strong, Ca Mau's economy will have a safe foothold, an important development driving force for immediate and long-term goals and strategies.

It must be recognized that the business community in the province still has many limitations in "thinking far and doing big" when participating in the "common playground". Only when we dare to change our thinking, correctly assess the current situation, have solutions, and are determined to act can we create fundamental, effective, and sustainable changes, creating a strong enough "push" to help the business community truly rise up. And all of these tasks require the press.

- Can you elaborate on the role of the press in accompanying the business community in the past and in the current context?

Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc: First of all, the provincial press has innovated and developed, increasingly affirming its reputation, especially its professionalism and legitimacy, on the basis of building a modern, multi-platform digital press environment, enhancing competitiveness, information coverage and the impact of information in a deep and comprehensive way in social life. The provincial press has changed very positively, contributing effectively when it has become a companion and friend of businesses.

The press has paid attention to building and exploiting good topics, in-depth articles, rich and attractive forms of expression, creating a great impact on public opinion and persuasion in the field of economic and business topics. Press works have contributed to solving many issues related to the development of the business community in particular and urgent and important issues in the pillars of the provincial economy in general. Even more importantly, the press has contributed to enhancing the position, stature, internal strength, competitiveness and higher and further strategy of the Ca Mau provincial economy.

Through the press, the image of the beautiful and friendly land and people of Ca Mau, with outstanding comparative advantages and a developing future, is strongly spread, creating attraction, interest, and investment opportunities for large investors with large-scale projects of strategic importance to the locality.

- In your opinion, what tasks can the provincial press do immediately to accompany the business community?

Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc: I see that Ca Mau is in dire need of a regular, in-depth, official press forum dedicated to the business community. This work must have the support, participation, leadership and direction of managers, close coordination between the press and businesses, in the spirit of openness, construction, innovation and especially focusing on efficiency. Through this forum, the press and businesses will increasingly have a close, trusting, mutually supportive relationship, "win-win" when implementing.

At this time, the business community has a “golden opportunity” to rise up, which is Resolution 68 on the private economy, and this is also a story that the press needs to pay close attention to. Particularly with Resolution 68, the press is not only about information, but must contribute to transforming the content of the resolution into real life. There is no other way, the press must be closer, clearer, more practical in information, in the way of information.

It must be added that Ca Mau province has many resources and potentials for development, especially in human resources, but there are still many things to worry about in this issue. Currently, our province has about 200,000 workers from outside the province, and each year about 21,000 workers continue to leave; or the fact that many individual business households are "hesitant" and have difficulties when wanting to convert into enterprises..., these are all tasks that require the participation of the press to resolve and find effective and timely solutions.

Some issues that the press needs to focus on exploiting such as: retaining, attracting, training, improving skills, qualifications, and quality of the province's human resources; forming an economy with innovative thinking, digital transformation, application of information technology and science in the business community... are all extremely valuable and meaningful issues for the business community and Ca Mau province in the current context.

- On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, as Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, what would you like to share with the team of journalists and press agencies of your province?

Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, on behalf of the business community, I would like to express my sincere thanks and best wishes to the press and press agencies in general, and Ca Mau province in particular. The press and the business community will always be reliable and effective companions, together contributing to the homeland and country to realize the goal of prosperity, wealth and happiness in the era of national development.
